Fourteen dollars is what I spent for a movie for three and lunch for two. When we first discovered DOLLAR Tuesdays at the Regency in Ventura, we had to go see if it was true. Oh, it was a true, and it explained why the theater was bustling like a Saturday night. The girls and I went to see Rio. Rio you say? Yes, it is part of the ICEE Summer Movie Series at the Regency Theaters. They show a different kid’s movie every week. Since Rio is G rated, it was a good one to take my two year old and six year old. They enjoyed it while I could have done without some of the musical numbers.
That leaves 11 dollars. Well, across the street from the Regency Theaters is Chik-Fil- A. I had never bought anything else beside a coffee at a Chik-Fil-A and it had a good crowd so we stopped by and had a meal. I ordered two kid’s meals for 11 dollars. The oldest preferred the Nuggets Kids Meal and the youngest preferred the Chick N’ Strips Kid’s Meal. They both enjoyed the ketchup containers and apple juices that came along with the meals.
The surprising part about the Chik-Fil-A on 1321 Eastman Ave. in Ventura is that it has a toddler area. It looks like this Chik-Fil-A caters to families by providing a play space for kids and enjoyable kids' meals. My daughters happily agreed to finish their chicken so they could go into the play area. What a treat!
